Anthony Turner and Mary Lidgate live at Highleigh, a large double-fronted Victorian house built in 1876, on the edge of Teignmouth looking over the town and fields to the sea. It has been converted over the last seven years into a virtually ‘zero carbon’ eco-house, featuring:

An Okofen wood pellet boiler with 4 tonne pellet store in green timber garage provides heating and hot water. All sash windows have been renovated with modern sealing strip and fitted with aluminium secondary glazing.
